Nothing about it seemed right.
I learned that... Your crate could be top of the line (mine was $150 by the way) But, if your dog can’t take the confinement, it won’t matter. If it’s inconvenient, you won’t care to use it.
and that’s not even the worst part.
Was Bella really “safe” on the road?
I had my doubts. Sure she won’t jump out of the car anytime soon, so that was a relief.
But, Think about this! Last time I unlocked the gate open, I noticed Bella race out like a frantic rabbit. That was not odd, she hated that crate.
What was odd… was the puddle of blood left behind and the trail that followed.
Horrified, I ran towards Bella. Her snout was gushing with blood…
I examined the crate and found little pieces of flesh were still slugged on the iron rails.
Scared and annoyed, I pressed her nose and rushed to the pet ER. AGAIN!
I wasted no time and yelled “Mark” as he walked across the hallway.
He smiled and said, “Is everything alright?”
Shaking my head I replied: “No”
“What do we have now?” Mark asked
I explained how Bella somehow cut herself with the crate.
He checked her right away and looked relieved.
“It looks worst than it is. She is going to be just fine ”
Mark cleaned her right up and gave us a treatment plan. Luckily she didn’t even require stitches.
We stayed talking for a while...and the more mark and I talked, the friendlier we got. At that point, I felt comfortable enough to share my frustration.
“Man, Not too long ago Bella almost fell out of the car and got injured. Then to ensure her safety & my peace of mind, I bought a crate. That failed too. I’m not sure what to do anymore”
He shrugged, as if to say, "I get it, man".
Bewildered, but not completely surprised, I asked Mark “What options do I have then? I don’t want to be in a situation like this EVER again.”
Mark then gave me an amazing recommendation that finally tackled the issues I was facing.
He introduced Waglatch’s Easy buckle. A seatbelt for dogs. I couldn't believe it...
He explained how EasyBuckle will allow me to secure Bella without compromises. It latches directly to any car’s seat belt slot. The big bonus was that it doubles as a heavy-duty durable leash.
I was sold immediately. It solved every problem I had.
I thanked Mark for his recommendation and made an order the same day.
he only had one thing to say:
“hope to never see Bella again”
